Obtain and Connect a Kadena Wallet

Regardless of the currency you want to start with, you'll need to connect a Kadena wallet. If you don't have one yet, we recommend downloading and setting up Linx Wallet if you prefer using a phone/tablet, or EckoWallet if you prefer using a desktop/laptop. You can fund your wallet with Kadena tokens, or pay with a familiar currency like USDC, USDT, ETH, and wBTC via Polygon or Ethereum network.

After your wallet is set up, connect your wallet to the Chips website by clicking "Connect Wallet" at the top right. Select your wallet from the menu - You can ignore the Ethereum and Polygon networks if you're planning on paying in Kadena (KDA). The Ecko Wallet option is there if you are using the browser plugin, otherwise you'll want to use WalletConnect.

For WalletConnect, press the WalletConnect button and copy the code manually or scan it with your Wallet application.

Connecting your Ethereum/Polygon wallet

Skip this section if you intend to pay with Kadena (KDA)

Chips accepted EVM currencies:

• USDC

• USDT

• ETH

• wETH

• wBTC

You must connect a Kadena wallet regardless of what currency you want to pay with, as your hashrate contracts will be stored on the Kadena blockchain.

Choose Connect wallet on the Chips website and choose the chain (Ethereum or Polygon) where your funds are stored. If you're using Metamask, simply click the metamask button and you'll be connected to the website. For any other wallet, use WalletConnect as described above.

How to start mining with Chips

Excellent! Now that you're connected to the website, we can start a contract. Step one is going to be choosing your mining algorithm.

1) Choosing your algorithm

Currently, Chips offers three algorithms to choose from:

• Bitcoin (SHA-256)

• Litecoin & Doge (Merged Mining with Scrypt)

• Kadena (Blake2s-Kadena)

If you aren't already there, head to the Start Mining section of the Chips website.

2) Referral bonuses

3) Start Mining

Now that you've chosen your preferred algorithm to mine, you'll choose between one of our packages.

All of the packages function the same - the more expensive packages earn more crypto and the APR increases due to lower electric costs at high volume.

Choose the package that aligns with how much you want to spend - you can change the quantity to more finely tune the total dollar amount.

The more expensive the package, the higher your mining power will be. In the above case, 4.045 TH/s will earn approximately $19 worth of BTC in 3 months, with a total cost of $11.42 in electric.

Click "Select $xx package" and you'll see your selection pop up at the bottom of the screen. Select "Choose payment method"

Here you can choose your currency to pay with - make sure your Ethereum/Polygon wallet is connected if you want to pay with any currency other than Kadena. A new button will appear on the Summary bar - "Checkout"

After clicking checkout, you're on the final step. Simply click Confirm and approve the transaction in your wallet.

Your payment will be split into two coins - Chips Tokens - which represent your mining power - and kWatt tokens - which represent your energy usage for the duration that you want to earn. You can also see how much you'll earn based on todays market conditions, in this case it is showing BTC mining.

You'll see your transaction go through in a minute. Click `View Live Rewards` to be taken to the My Earnings dashboard and watch your income grow!

If you purchased with a currency other than KDA, your contract will show up on your My Earnings page within 10 minutes. The transaction needs to be bridged from the chain you paid on.
